Matchbox Challenge

What can you created inside a Matchbox?   â€‹2024 Theme: 'Connection to Country'

Here’s what to do:

  • Get a matchbox - (small size / 45 match 'Redhead' type)

  • Let your imagination loose and get creative... no limits, only the theme

  • Sculpt, paint,  draw, construct - use any media to turn it into a work of art

  • Write your name and phone number on the back of the box

  • Enter your Matchbox in the Challenge

Rules

  • all work must be original

  • whatever is inside must be able to have the lid closed

  • the lid must be part of the design and will be displayed with the box

  • entered matchboxes must not be wet or dangerous

  • inclusion in the challenge indicates consent for your work to photographed by ARTfest for promotion purposes

  • open to all ages

Drop off with $5 entry fee, by 5pm Sunday 29th September, to:

  • House of Jules Art Studio, 12 Myrtle St Milton

  • Nadja’s Studio, Croobyar Rd, Milton

  • or can be delivered directly to the Civic Centre, Thurs 10th Oct 10-3pm

Prizes:

  • Adult Winner - $300

  • Under 18s Winner - $150

  • People's Choice - $200

  • Highly Commended Awards - $50 each
