When you attend the Escape ARTfest or participate in any way you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions and any other conditions specified by us on our website or forms.

While some events ticketed, others are FREE to the public although donation buckets may be present. Making a donation to the festival is voluntary, though greatly appreciated. Donated funds are used to pay artists, musicians and other associated costs involved in putting on public events.

Whilst attending ARTfest events patrons must not:

  • Abuse, damage, litter or tamper with the site, atrworks or other patrons in any way.

  • Drive vehicles anywhere other than designated areas.

Festival organisers reserve the right to remove persons who do not comply with the above.

Festival Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any venue where a person:

  • Does not have a ticket to any event where a ticket is required.

  • Is in possession of and refuses to surrender an illegal object.

  • Behaves in an inappropriate or abusive manner.

  • Is intoxicated or otherwise not in control of their actions.

Festival Organisers will not refund, provide an exchange or replace any tickets where:

  • The ticket holder is unable or chooses not to attend the event.

  • The ticket holder has been refused entry or evicted from the premises in any of the circumstances outlined above.

  • The event does not meet his or her expectations.

  • The incorrect ticket type has been purchased.

While every attempt is made to present the program as advertised, the program may be subject to change without notice.

Refunds will be given due to a change in programming made by the committee.

Ticketed events organised by third parties - refunds are at the discretion of the event organiser and not the committee. All matters regarding refunds should be directed to the individual venue.

The Escape ARTfest committee have the right to use any photos, film or other recordings taken of people or things whilst attending the festival for marketing, promotional or other purposes. Where images of artworks are used for publicity purposes, the artist will be named if space allows.

Sound/video recordings of performances cannot be made without prior written consent of the Escape ARTfest. Photographs taken at the festival cannot be published without prior consent of the Escape ARTfest committee.

The Escape ARTfest committee is insured for it's responsibilities including Public Liability with cover extending to include volunteers. It must be understood that whilst Escape ARTfest will take every care in working with artists and venues to ensure the safety of all concerned, ARTfest insurance cannot legally cover property which it does not own. For this reason exhibition and private event venues must ensure their own public liability insurance is current, and artists should seek insurance protection covering damage to artwork (e.g. Fire or Theft) if they so wish.

In the case of injuries to third parties, artists and venues, in conjunction with the Escape ARTfest committee, must also ensure that all measures are taken to provide for the safety of visitors at their event.

Insurance questions should be directed to the Escape ARTfest treasurer,  Linda Lees - 0414 982 841.
