Making a Ceramic Planter Head

Making a pottery planter head guides you through various steps of making in clay. You will create a planter head of your own unique design and decorate it with oxides and underglazes. The works will subsequently be fired to bisque temperature and are then ready for planting! Morning tea provided.

Join us for a creative 3-hour workshop where you'll craft your own Shiboridashi tea pot and cups, drawing inspiration from an ancient Japanese technique. This hands-on experience is perfect for beginners and advanced potters.

Includes all necessary tools and materials.
During this workshop, you will learn how to make a shiboridashi tea set including a teapot, a yuzamashi (cooler), two yunomis (cups) and a tray. Shiboridashi teapots are used in Japan to brew green tea.

For 16+ yrs. Includes clay, firing and glazing.
